About us
The Tasmanian Business Advice Service is a network of independent advisors funded by the Tasmanian Government to provide free advice and guidance to Tasmanian small businesses.
The Tasmanian Government has supported this sector with free and independent business advice services for nearly 30 years.
The Tasmanian Business Advice Service and the New Business Support Pilot Program were established after an independent review of the previous Enterprise Centres Tasmania Program in 2022. This review investigated whether this model was meeting the needs of local businesses in times of greater uncertainty and disruptions due to world events.
The two new advice services commenced on 2 October 2023 and respond to the review findings by providing small businesses with greater choice over how, when, and what services they access, to assist in sustainable business development and growth in whatever form businesses choose to take.
The services are complimented by a range of other tools and resources on the Business Tasmania website.
