By completing this form you are providing personal information to the Department of State Growth (the Department). By accessing the New Business Support Pilot Program and/or the Tasmanian Business Advice Service you may also at times be providing personal information to the Network. The information you provide will be recorded in the Enquiry Management System and accessed by the Department and the Network for the purpose of providing you with business advisory services.

The Department may also provide your contact details to its third-party survey provider solely for the purposes of contacting you to participate in surveys relating to the services you have accessed as part of the New Business Support Pilot Program and/or the Tasmanian Business Advice Service. The survey process enables continuous improvement of the services offered and you are not obliged to participate.

The Department will also use your information to contact you to provide any necessary updates or information relating to the New Business Support Pilot Program and/or the Tasmanian Business Advice Service.

Your personal information will be managed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004. The Department and Network may disclose your personal information to third parties in circumstances allowed for by law. You have a right to access your personal information by request to the Department or the Network.

At registration you will be asked to agree to the following:

I acknowledge that Business Tasmania will allocate me to either the New Business Support Pilot Program or the Tasmanian Business Advice Service, depending on my eligibility and that:

If/when accessing the New Business Support Pilot Program, I understand I will be provided with up to two hours of business advice within a financial year under the program, an independent service funded by the Tasmanian Government.

If/when accessing the Tasmanian Business Advice Service, I understand that I will be provided with up to five hours of business advice within a financial year under the program, an independent service funded by the Tasmanian Government.

I also acknowledge that I may progress from the New Business Support Pilot Program to the Tasmanian Business Advice Service or vice versa, and I will be registered using the information provided in this form.

I agree and understand that the information provided by me will be used to enable the Network to provide business advisory services to me and contact me to fulfil my requests.

I have read the personal information statement and am aware that information I provide to my business advisor, the Network, and the Department may be subject to a request for disclosure under Tasmania’s Right to Information Act 2009. However, the information may be eligible for exemption.
